Coin

The 14th century

Copper, embossing.

Accidental find by German Alekseevich Fedorov-Davydov in 1969 at the Vodyanskoye settlement near the city of Dubovka, Dubovsky rayon, Volgograd oblast.

The Golden Horde had a state monetary system. The coins were silver and copper. Copper coins (pools) usually depicted various symbols - for example, a five-pointed star, a falcon, a leopard, a two-headed bird, a flower, as well as the date and place of minting.
16 copper coins (pools) equaled 1 silver coin (dirham or dang).
