Plaques

2nd – 1st century B.C.E.

Found near the settlement the 15th Village on the border of Sredneakhtubinsky and Leninsky rayons of Volgograd Oblast.

Excavations by Valentin Pavlovich Shilov, 1958.

The diamond-shaped plaques have embossed ornament and a convex circle in the center. The narrow sides each holds a hole for sewing on. The edges of the plaques are bent downwards. The plaques had been sewn onto a woman's leather belt.
