Harness set

Mid-8th century.

Bronze, casting. Length 5.8 cm, 4.2 cm, 3.4 cm.

Found near the village of Baranovka, Kamyshinsky rayon.

Excavations by Igor Viktorovich Sergatskov, 1988.

The harness set consists of three massive plaques in the shape of a trefoil (three pins on the reverse side), a figured belt tip, a rectangular holder decorated with an engraved image of a butterfly, round plaques with a round hole in the center and buckles with a semi-oval shield.

Buckles were attached to horse harness for decoration and used for its intended purpose - to fasten harness straps.
